Tech 2000 is associated with the Southeast Iowa Sport Shooting Center, Inc., an Iowa and US Federal Non-Profit, Public Education organization, established in 2013. This organization, under Iowa Code; Chapter 724.9(1b)(4b), Title XVI Criminal Law and Procedure; Subtitle 1: Crime And Criminal Acts; Chapter 724 Weapons, "utilizing NRA Instructors", can provide the Iowa required training to obtain the Iowa weapons permit(s). Before you determine if your item needs gunsmith work, as, on average, repairing an item could take several months to be completed, so, please read the following:
Determine if your item can be gunsmithed. There are two (2) types of gunsmithing work;
1) Replace damaged and/or replace original parts.

After purchasing your part(s), search Youtube.com on how to install and /or fix it on your own. If you are uncomfortable, do not have the tools needed, do not have the mechanical skills and/or it deals with the overall function and SAFTY, them contact a gunsmith.
NOTE: Parts that the ATF requires an FFL transfer include, but not limited too, any part(s) that had an original manufacturer serial number stamped on it; like barrels, receives, frames, firing pins, and/or misc. action parts. Usually these types of parts are not available from the websites noted above.
2) Fabrication and/or addition or modification of part(s). This does NOT include doing anything that the ATF has stated to be illegal to do. Check the ATF.GOV for additional information as it does change often as new regulations are enacted.

Yes, you can use the above new regulation NOT to acquire an Iowa "Non-professional Carry Weapons Permit", but there is NO good reason, in our opinion, not to properly obtain and maintain your Iowa Permit.
We do not discriminate, the selling and/or transferring of item(s), but per US Federal Regulation's, an FFL provider has the "right to refuse" a transfer to any person they feel do not have the legal right to obtain such item(s), in which the item(s) will be returned to the sender and/or to the ATF.
Buyer:
1) Maximum of THREE item transfers per calendar day, per ATF Form 4473. Only (1) ONE Handgun/Revolver can be transferred per day, with a (5) FIVE business day (M-F) minimum wait before the next Handgun/Revolver transfer, per ATF Regulations. Fee(s) rate(s) are as follows per transfer day: First Item: $15.00, Second Item: $10.00, and Third Item: $5.00. Your total transfer fee(s) are subject to Iowa Sales Tax of 6% plus Washington County Local Option Tax of 1%, so 7% will be applied to your total due. We accept Cash or Local Check only and a hand written, carbon copy receipt will be provided. TECH 2000 does not collect Iowa sales tax on the item(s) purchased outside TECH 2000, only on the transfer fee(s).
2) Original issued, State/Military ID and Iowa State Permit (If required) need to be provided on the day of item(s) pickup. ID MUST show "CURRENT" (Living) address with a picture of you on it. Background (NICS) check "may" be conducted, even with a valid Iowa state permit. A photocopy of the above(s) will be made as required by the ATF, and will be included with the ATF 4473 paperwork.
An FFL owner, is State and Federally liable to secure and protect all personal information required for the completion of the ATF Form 4473. This means that an FFL owner can be "criminally charged" for any misuse of your personal information, but you should be comfortable before releasing this information, if not, ask the FFL to transfer your item(s) to a different FFL.

3) Buyer needs to provide tracking and/or shipping information via text messaging or email provided above before item(s) pickup.
** Please text message when you are 10 minutes out from our location for item(s) pickup.
If buyer is unable to acquire or does not pickup item(s) within 30 days of delivery, they will either be sent back to the shipper (at buyers cost) or forfeited to the ATF.
4) Seller and/or Shipper must include a copy of the Transfer’s current FFL and customer purchase receipt in the packaging of the item. If shipment requires signature for delivery, please provide the shipping company and/or tracking number upon release to the shipping company. All shipments must comply with all US Federal shipping Laws. TECH 2000 will provide a copy of our current FFL to the Transfer’s FFL upon email and/or text message request. Package(s) received will be opened to retrieve transfer paperwork. The item(s) packaging will NOT be opened until the buyer arrives for pickup or requests prior opening/inspection before pickup. Any damages to shipping packaging will be documented and reported to both the buyer and shipper upon delivery. All Transfer's FFL will be checked using the ATF FFLeZCheck online service to verify that the sender FFL is a valid ATF FFL. If the check returns invalid, the item(s) will be turned over to the local Sheriff Department for investigation.

Gunsmith Services: TECH 2000 does provide Full Gunsmith services under its FFL dealer license. If a per-purchase or purchased item(s) needs gunsmith work before or after transferring it over to the buyer, please email or text message the services needed so we can provide the buyer with a work order quote.
Returns: TECH 2000 does not charge any labor fees for item(s) needing to be return back to the shipper. We will work both with the buyer and shipper to resolve any issues. The buyer is responsible for all costs relating to the return of an item(s).
